How To Share a Spotify Playlist on Blogger

Recently, I shared a post on called Contemporary Christmas Music. In it, I shared a spotify playlist, and thought that maybe you all would like to know how to share a spotify playlist on your blogs. :)

1. Go to spotify on the left column that says "playlists". Obviously you have to create the playlist first.

2. Right click on the playlist you wish to share and click "Copy Embed Code"

3. Open a post in blogger and switch the view to HTML in the upper left corner.

4. Paste in the code from spotify by right clicking and hitting paste.

5. It should look something like this.

6. Switch the view back to "compose" in the upper left hand corner, and your playlist should appear. :)

Let me know if you try it! And send me your links so I can check out your playlists!!

Contemporary Christmas Playlist

Hello everybody!
Just to clarify, I did not die while I was gone. I simply had to live life. But I got to play in a Christmas concert which was lovely even though I was playing percussion which I HAD NEVER EVER DONE IN MY LIFE. I literally found out on Tuesday and performed on Saturday and Sunday.
But this Christmas concert was seriously awesome, and Christmas music is one of my most favorite parts of Christmas. Therefore, I thought I'd share a little playlist of all of my "modern" Christmas favorites- meaning Christmas songs put out today's artists. Enjoy!

DIY "Give Thanks" Sign

Happy almost thanksgiving! Here's an easy DIY for all of you pretty people.

DIY "Give Thanks" Sign

Supplies:

  • Piece of Wood (Not stained, painted, or pressure treated)
  • Pencil
  • Metallic Sharpie
  • Hardware (to hang it up with)

Directions:
1. Sand the wood like crazy. Smooth out every little crevice and dent and anything else that you don't like. Sand and pretend it's that one person you're angry at. I won't judge

(As you can see- this is not the same piece of wood used in my sign. Sometimes things like this happen. You get the picture, though...right?)

2. Free hand (or stencil) the words "give thanks" onto your wood with a pencil.

3. Go over the pencil several times with a metallic sharpie. I went over mine at least 3x with the sharpie for the gold to really stick out.

4. Measure halfway across the sign. Attach a little thing to make it hang up on the wall. I don't know what it's called. Sorry. You use a hammer and nails to make it stick.

(That was my practice pencil marking, fyi.)

5. Hang it up.

That's it! I hope you try this easy diy... maybe with all your little cousins over thanksgiving break?

Free Printable Thankfulness Chart

Can you believe thanksgiving is only a little more than a week away?!?!

I always think we should be thankful all the time, not just on Thanksgiving. What's the point of giving thanks for everything great if you're just going to live hypocritically and go to the mall the next day (black Friday) and buy all the things that show just how discontent you are with the stuff you already have?!

Okay. Rant=over.

Here's a little chart that will help you remember in the days leading up to thanksgiving, that you have SO MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR.

This will not only help prepare your heart for thanksgiving, but also it can help you remember what you're thankful for when your family is going around the table and saying all the things you are thankful for, everyone has to say three things or something like that... Are we the only family that does that?!? Please tell me not.

free printable thankfulness chart

Here's how the chart works. You basically take whatever words is on that day's box and put it in the sentence: "Today I am thankful for these things that I can ." For example, for day 1, the word is taste. You would then write down the things that fit into this sentence:
"Today I am thankful for these things that I can taste." See how this works?

Oh yeah, and you should start doing it on the Thursday before thanksgiving (or Wednesday) so that it all works out.

Also, you can post your thankfulness things on instagram with the hashtag #bethankfulallweek and I will like and spam and follow all you pretty people. Because you're awesome. NOW GO PRINT OUT THE CHART AND LET'S BE THANKFUL TOGETHER!!

Download the free printable here.
Let me know if you end up using it!
